A huge thank you to @theyorkshiredreamer for this incredible opportunity. I highly recommend checking out her blog for a little dose of happiness and adventure; she writes beautifully and her posts are always inspiring!

How (and Why) I Started My Blog

I started my blog as a way to help with my anxiety; I always have a lot on my mind, and I wanted to be able to work through it somehow. I have learned so much about myself and what it truly means to be happy and healthy since my anxiety started, and I wanted to connect with others and help them do the same.

I have also found that I love learning new things and there is so much that I still don’t know. This community constantly brings up such fantastic questions for me to research and learn about. I initially thought that this blog would help others by teaching them valuable information, but I had no idea how much I was going to learn in the process. Honestly, it has become my absolute favorite part about blogging.

I have only been blogging for about five months, so it feels a bit weird to be giving advice when there is so much I still have to learn, but I’ll do my best!

Tip #1: Just Go For It

You all have no idea how long I had my first post written before I ever decided to publish it. I was so nervous and scared of what others would think that I just kept putting it off. My biggest piece of advice is to not overthink it. You don’t need to know all of the information from the beginning because you’ll learn as you go. Blog posts can always be revised and made better as you learn more information and grow as a writer, but the sooner you start the better. Don’t put it off out of fear.

Tip #2: Write from Your Heart

Be genuine with every post you write. Allow your readers to get to know you; they will appreciate that you are open and honest with them, and it will make your posts much more relatable. It can be hard to be vulnerable and expose yourself, but it will pay off in the long run. You will get a much more genuine experience out of blogging, and your readers will get more value from your writing.

My Nominees

My nominees are all bloggers that I feel give a lot to the blogging community, and they post from the heart. I admire all of their work so much, and they have all inspired me to become a better blogger.

  1. Thank you for your kind words; I love reading your posts. 😊 I enjoy hearing about how other bloggers started their journey and what they have learnt. Your pieces of advice are extremely valuable and helpful, especially about writing from the heart. I was so nervous before I published my first blog post, (which I also had written for months 😂), so it is lovely to see that someone else felt scared too. Thank you for sharing.
