HO HO HO, Merry Blogmas! For those of you who don’t know what Blogmas is, it is a blogging event where bloggers write Christmas-themed posts for the month leading up to Christmas! Traditionally, the blogger posts one post a day for the entire month of December, but I have planned 12 posts (because honestly, doing all 25 would destroy the quality of my posts, and I didn’t want to do that). I will be publishing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday leading up to the final post being on Christmas Eve!
Today’s post is just an introduction to the topics I’ll be covering throughout this month, as well as a little bit of information on why I chose each of the topics. Tomorrow will be the first official day of Blogmas, and we’ll be kicking it off with A Christmas Gift Guide for the Fit Girl!
Day One: A Christmas Gift Guide for the Fit Girl
This is basically a gift guide for everything I would want for myself if I were able to choose all of my gifts. I tried to include as many small businesses as possible (because it’s super important to shop small this year) and everything in the guide is a practical, useful tool for the woman in your life that is trying to live a healthier lifestyle. I hope you enjoy!
Day Two: DIY Candy-cane Mason Jars
Oh my gosh, these were such a blast to make! I have been putting more of a focus on crafts this year because I have a lot more free time, and these came out so cute and were super easy to do. Plus, I was able to use up some jars I had just lying around the house, so it was super cheap also!
Day Three: A Christmas Gift Guide for the Fit Guy
Same thing as Day One, except it’s for the special man in your life. I had my boyfriend help me put together a list of things he would love in his stocking this year, and I tried to include as many small businesses as possible.
Day Four: Christmas Tree Workout
Woo, this is killer! It’s basically a workout in the shape of a Christmas Tree (it will make more sense when you see it drawn out) and my whole body was on fire afterward! I can’t wait to see what you all think of this.
Day Five: How to Take Care of Your Mental Health this Holiday Season
Just some tips on how to keep your mental health strong during the holidays. This time of the year can be stressful, and it’s even worse this year with Covid keeping us separate from all our families, so I figured this would be a nice post to share and give you some ideas on how to focus on your mental health.
Day Six: Things I Love About Christmas
All of my favorite things about Christmas! I thought this would be a great way for you all to get to know me a little better, and I thought you could share some of your favorite things about Christmas as well!
Day Seven: Feel-Good Movies to Watch this Christmas
These movies not only put me in the Christmas mood, but just a good mood in general. I re-watch them every year without fail, and I enjoy myself each time I do.
Day Eight: Holiday-Themed Journal Prompts
Just some fun ideas for some journal entries that will put you in a fun Christmas mood. They will get your creative juices flowing and make your journaling a little more fun!
Day Nine: Yummy Christmas Recipes!
I have gone around to a bunch of different food bloggers sites and tried out a ton of recipes that looked good, and this is a list of my favorites! It includes side dishes, deserts, dips, and other Christmas-themed dishes.
Day Ten: How to Manage Holiday Stress
This post will focus on how you can de-stress this time of the year. Just some ideas on how you can check in with yourself and ways to make sure you’re not putting too much on your plate.
Day Eleven: Volunteering at Christmas Time
Just a run-down of my experience volunteering this year!
Day Twelve: The True Meaning of Christmas
Exactly what it says, this will just be a post focusing on what Christmas means to me.
And that will be all for Blogmas this year! I really hope you all are as excited as I am. I put a lot of work into these posts, and I hope it will let me get to know all of you a little better! I can’t wait to hear what you think! Let me know if you have any other ideas for posts you’d like to see in the comment section, and be sure to subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss any of the upcoming posts!
Okay, but honestly this Christmas crazy gal is so ready for this!
